Destinations
Named by the writer Jean Bart "Europolis"

Sulina

Sulina is the only city in the Danube Delta and it is also the easternmost in Romania and in the entire European Union. Also nicknamed the "City of 4 lighthouses" of which only one is functional and another has been turned into a museum, it is located in the area where the Danube arm that bears its name flows into the Black Sea.

Sfântul Gheorghe

Sfântu Gheorghe is a traditional fishing village, documented since the 14th century, whose population of around 800 souls is mainly made up of Haholi. Like Sulina, Sfântu Gheorghe is located at the mouth of the Danube arm of the same name in the Black Sea and is only accessible by water, but this fact is not an impediment for tourists, who come from year to year in increasing numbers.

Sarichioi

Sarichioi, or the yellow village loosely translated from Turkish, is another extremely interesting destination in the Danube Delta area. Located in the commune of the same name, this traditional village from Lipoveni, documented in the middle of the 17th century, attracts many tourists like a magnet, and it is not difficult to understand why.

Jurilovca

Jurilovca has a similar history to that of the village of Sarichioi, being also founded by the Lipovans but a little later, at the beginning of the 19th century. Although at the beginning it was just a small hamlet, over time it has experienced continuous development, currently gathering the largest community of fishermen in the Delta.
